Google Photos to Launch Ai Editing Tools

All Google Photos users will have access to a collection of AI-powered editing tools from Google Photos, which will include Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Magic Editor, on May 15. On a larger variety of devices, including Pixel tablets, users will have free access to these tools.

Magic Editor will be made available to all Pixel device owners later this year through a phased rollout.

The available tools, which include portrait light, photo unblur, and magic eraser, are presently available to everyone. However usage does require a subscription.

Google announced in April that the changes will be implemented progressively starting on May 15, the day following its yearly developer conference.

A Google statement said, “Your photos can really shine with the right editing tools.”
“Google Photos provides a number of options that can help you improve your photos without needing expert editing knowledge, such as softening a hazy shot or eliminating background distractions. And we’re now giving even more individuals access to those capabilities.

When Google released Magic Editor on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro last year, people found both devices to be useful for making rapid edits to their images.
